The Johnson C. Smith University women’s basketball coaching staff has announced an additional National Letter of Intent signee for the upcoming 2010-11 season. Joining the Lady Golden Bulls from Bamberg Middle High School in Bamberg, Germany is forward/center Racquel Davis.

JCSU AND LIVINGSTONE ANNOUNCE INITIATIVES TO ADDRESS MINORITY MALE CRISIS THROUGH THE COMMEMORATIVE CLASSIC

The second annual Commemorative Classic will be played on Saturday, November 6, 2010 with a 1:00 pm kickoff, but in addition to the contest, a two-day symposium on the Black and Minority Male Crisis will take place on November 4th-5th.

LEFORD GREEN NAMED USTFCCCA NATIONAL TRACK ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Wednesday, June 2nd that Leford Green of Johnson C. Smith and Jessica Pixler of Seattle Pacific were named the National Track Athletes of the Year for Outdoor Track & Field in Division II as voted by the nation’s coaches.

WILLIAMS AND GREEN NAMED REGIONAL TRACK ATHLETES OF THE YEAR BY THE USTFCCCA

Johnson C. Smith University junior student-athletes Shermaine Williams and Leford Green were named Atlantic Region Female and Male Track Athlete of the Year, respectively by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

JCSU MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD LOOKING TUNED AT THE GA TECH INVITATIONAL

The Johnson C. Smith University men’s track and field team competed in the 110m hurdles, 400m, 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay at the Georgia Tech Invitational held on Griffin Track. The relay quartet was in dominant form.
