“We expect Hampton to be one of our instant contributors,” said head men's basketball coach #Stephen Joyner, Sr#. “He has good size, scoring ability, and awareness in the low post; he has the potential to be All-CIAA. Barrett and Daniels are two that I expect to play immediately as well. Barrett should be able to adjust to the conference and add value to our team right away. Daniels has solid ball handling ability and will force our current guards to compete for time on the floor.”

O'Brien, a 6'3, 190 lbs, native of Warren, New Jersey, set a county record by scoring 552 points in his senior season at Watchung Hills Regional HS. O'Brien was offensive player of the year, All-State, and first team All-County. He averaged 19 points and nine rebounds in his final season.

He was MVP, captain, and selected to the Fayette County All-Star and All-State Basketball Team in his final high school season.

“In some regards, we're starting fresh this season,” said Joyner. “We lost four seniors, three that were our top scorers. We have some issues that need to be addressed in our backcourt and we're not completely healthy in the frontcourt. Each season brings on new challenges and I anticipate this being a challenging season. But with a lot of hard work and the will to improve, hopefully we'll be able to overcome those challenges.”
