Kenny Strickland caught 13 passes for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns as a Golden Bull reciever last season

Kenny Strickland signed a three year contract with the Winnipeg Bluebombers of the Canadian Football League on Tuesday, April 7, 2010. Strickland, (5'10, 185 lbs) will be playing in a pre-season game against former Golden Bull defensive back DeAndre Dix.
Strickland, (a native of San Jose California) transferred to JCSU from San Jose City College. While at SJCC, he earned an Associate of Science degree and had 20 catches for 362 yards and 26 kick-off returns for 845 yards. Strickland graduated from Prospect High School where he was named Offensive MVP and first team All-League Wide Receiver and had 33 catches for 710 yards and also had 30 solo tackles and four interceptions.
“We are super proud of him and knew that with his determination he was bounded to find an opportunity to play at the next level,” said JCSU head coach
Steven Aycock. “Kenny has a solid work ethic and I'm certain he will have success in his career.
Strickland played two seasons for the JCSU Golden Bulls (2008-09). He worked out Winnipeg this spring in Greensboro, NC.
Winnipeg opens their season on June 13, 2010 at 1:00 PM against the Montreal Alouettes.
