Demetria Bell was named to the All-CIAA First Team for the second straight season

Demetria Bell received her All-CIAA First Team honors on Tuesday afternoon at the 2010 CIAA Basketball Tournament Tipoff Luncheon held at the Charlotte Convention Center.
Bell, a 6-ft, native of Indianapolis, IN finished the season ranked third in the CIAA in rebounding (averaging 7.9 rpg). She is also 8th in conference for field goal percentage (46.1%).
Bell was named Preseason All-CIAA this season and recorded four double-doubles. She played in 23 games and started 22. Bell has produced 955 points and 866 rebounds in her four-year career at Johnson C. Smith.
Honorees included members of the 2010 All-CIAA men's and women's teams, All-Rookie teams, Defensive Players of the Year, Players of the Year, Coaches of the Year, Division Champions and teams with the highest GPA.

Vanessa Taylor. “Aside from being a strong asset to the team, Demetria is a great person and truly takes pride in being a well-rounded student-athlete.”
The Lady Golden Bulls enter this year's CIAA Tournament as the #5 seed. JCSU will play Fayetteville State University (No. 4) on Wednesday, February 24th at 3:00 pm inside the Time Warner Cable Arena.
