2014 JCSU men's and women's track and field team
New Orleans, LA – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the list of Division II student-athletes who earned USTFCCCA All-America honors for the 2014 indoor season based on their performance at this past weekend's NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in Winston-Salem, NC.
JCSU has a total of six student-athletes that have earn NCAA Indoor All-American status. On the men's team, senior
Rolando Berch (St. Andrew, Jamaica) received All-American honors for his performance in the 400m dash. Berch placed third in the men's 400m with a time of 47.89 in the finals.
On the women's side, freshman
Crystal Campbell (St. Catherine, Jamaica), junior
Samantha Elliott (Kingston, Jamaica), sophomore
Tovea Jenkins (St. James, Jamaica), freshman
Domenique Julius-Williams (Ontario, Canada), and senior
Danielle Williams (St. Andrew, Jamaica) claimed a total of 11 All-American honors.
Campbell and Julius-Williams both received honors as members of the 4x400m relay team. Jenkins and Elliott were also members of the 4x400m relay team that won the national title for the event and set a new facility record with a time of 3:43.33.
Jenkins also received All-American honors in the 400m with a third place finish. Elliott also merited honors in the 60m dash, 200m dash, and the 60m hurdles; in addition to the 4x400m relay.
Williams, reigning USTFCCCA Atlantic Region Track Athlete of the Year, had a superior performance during the championships. Williams won an unprecedented three individual national titles (60m dash, 60m hurdles, and 200m dash).
Those student-athletes who finished among the top eight in their individual or relay events earned USTFCCCA All-America honors. USTFCCCA membership by their program is required for the award.

JCSU men's and women's track and field opens the outdoor season this weekend (March 21-22) at the UNC-Charlotte 49ers Classic held at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of UNCC.
