Carolina Panthers Sign Former JCSU Receiver Avius Capers
Charlotte, N.C. (May 18, 2015) – Former Johnson C. Smith University wide receiver and Charlotte native
Avius Capers has signed with the Carolina Panthers, the team announced today.
Capers returns to the Panthers after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2015. While at JCSU, he appeared in 38 games and logged 136 receptions for 1,553 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Most recently, Capers spent time with the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League.
