			 Raleigh, NC – The Johnson C. Smith University men's tennis team had two wins over Saint Augustine's College and a loss to Shaw University during the CIAA Southern Divisional Roundup held March 30-31 at the Lions and Biltmore Hills Parks. JCSU improves to 2-18 overall and 2-8 in the conference.
JCSU swept doubles competition in both matches against St. Augustine's. Freshman Darrel Sawyer (Cincinnati, OH) and sophomore 
Dion Chever (Newport News, VA) won the number one doubles flight 8-4 in both matches. The freshmen duo of 
Tobias Whitley (Largo, MD) and 
Tuan Nguyen (Greensboro, NC) had 8-2 victories at the number two doubles slot.
Junior 
Ricardo Cornett (New York, NY) and freshman 
Daniel Herrera (Greenville, SC) won both at the third doubles spot by default due to an incomplete Falcons' roster.
Singles match were nearly swept also with the exception of number five singles in the first contest.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Shaw won each point in singles and doubles action on the second day of competition.
The Golden Bulls will face Virginia Union University and Chowan University to close out the regular season. JCSU plays the Panthers on Tuesday, April 3rd in Richmond, VA, followed by a match against the Hawks on Wednesday, April 4th in Murfreesboro, NC.
