Sabrina Johnson had a 129.89 average with 1169 total pin count in the CIAA Divisional Event II
Petersburg, VA – The Johnson C. Smith University women's bowling team competed in their second CIAA Event of the season over the course of the weekend (January 24-26) at the Petersburg Bowling Lanes. The Golden Bulls had a 3-12 finish for fifth place competing against Fayetteville State, Livingstone, Saint Augustine's, Shaw, and Winston-Salem State.
Friday and Saturday's matches used total pin fall calculations while Sunday's competitions were scored using Baker format. JCSU finished in fifth out of six CIAA Southern Division opponents with a 2-8 record at the conclusion of two days of team competition and a 1-4 mark in Baker play on Sunday.
Fayetteville State (15-0) finished in first place while Winston-Salem State (11-4) and Saint Augustine's (9-6) finished in second and third place, respectively. The Lady Bears of Shaw (5-10) took home a fourth place finish while Livingstone (2-13) rounded out the tournament with a sixth place finish.

Brittany Rowe (Cincinnati, OH) paced the Golden Bulls with a two-day average of 168.8 and pin count of 1688 followed by junior
Holly Walker (Cleveland, OH) who averaged 152.75 pins and collected 611 pins. Senior

Sabrina Johnson (Columbia, SC) provided some consistency over the two-day competition. Bazemore averaged 147.33 pin, while Johnson had a 129.89 average with 1169 total pin count.
JCSU returns to action on the weekend of February 7-9 as host of the CIAA Cross Divisional Roundup. The Golden Bulls will compete against each of the teams in the CIAA Northern Division. Competition will take place at the AMF Centennial Lanes located at 4501 South Boulevard, Charlotte, NC.
