Rolando Berch finished 3rd overall in the men's 400m finals at the 2014 NCAA DII Indoor Championships

Rolando Berch placed third in the men's 400m dash at the 2014 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the JDL Fast Track on March 15th. Berch recorded six points for the JCSU team score.
Berch improved on his time from the preliminaries (48.23) to clock a time of 47.89 in the finals. Roxroy Cato of Saint Augustine's won the event with a time of 47.66 seconds.
Berch was the only competitor for the JCSU men's team. His six points earned the Golden Bulls a 25th place finish in the championships.
The Falcons of Saint Augustine's University scored 84.50 points to earn the national title. Adams State was second with 83 points and Ashland finished third with 48 points. There were 78 teams listed in competition.

JCSU men's track and field jumps into the outdoor season. The Golden Bulls will compete in the UNC-Charlotte 49ers Classic on March 21-22 at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of UNCC.
