Randale Watson won the shot put event at the George Mason Invitational with a new JCSU record of 16.46.
Fairfax, VA – The Johnson C. Smith University men's indoor track and field team attempted to improve their qualifying measures for the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships at the George Mason Last Chance Meet held at the George Mason Field House March 1-2. JCSU won the shot put and 4x400m events.

Gawayne Stephenson (Clarendon, Jamaica) finished 10th in the 60m dash with a time of 7.13.
Senior
Horane Holgate (St. Thomas, Jamaica) placed second in the triple jump with a season-best leap of 14.51. The jump ranks No. 23 on TFRRS final performance list for the 2014 NCAA indoor season.

Randale Watson (Kingston, Jamaica) won the shot put event with a new JCSU record of 16.46. The throw is a personal best for Watson and surpasses the previous school record of 16.17m; a mark set by Watson. The throw also ranks No. 23 on TFRRS final performance list for the 2014 NCAA indoor season

Rolando Berch (St. Andrew, Jamaica) won the event in 3:22.37 seconds. The 4x400m team is ranked No. 17 on TFRRS final performance list for the 2014 NCAA indoor season based on their performance at the Penn State National earlier this season.
Berch clocked 48.48 in the 400m. He finishes his final indoor season as the highest ranked Golden Bull at No. 7 based on the final performance list for the 2014 NCAA indoor season.
The 2014 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place in Winston-Salem, NC on March 14-15 at the JDL Indoor Fast Track.
