JCSU Alumnus Otis Stroud Selected as CIAA Championship Game Public Address Announcer

Charlotte, N.C. (Feb. 27, 2015) – Johnson C. Smith alumnus and public address announcer Otis Stroud has been selected by the CIAA to announce the 2015 Men's Championship game on Saturday night, Feb. 28, 2015 at the Time Warner Cable Arena. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Stroud, recognized for his deep voice as JCSU's public address announcer inside Brayboy Gym and the Irwin Belk Complex, has faithfully served the CIAA for over 19 years. Affectionately known as "The Voice of the Golden Bulls," Stroud has served as the announcer for over a dozen CIAA women's championship games. This marks the first time Stroud will have the pleasure of calling the men's championship game.
Stroud and his wife Betty reside in Charlotte and have two sons, Otis II and Jarred.
