JCSU Bowling Completes Day One at CIAA Event No. 2

Rocky Mount, N.C. (Feb. 5, 2016) –  Freshman Sydney Brown averaged a team-high 176.5 pins and junior Alexis Haith followed that with a 147.8 average to lead the Johnson C. Smith bowling team after day one of the CIAA Event No. 2 held at the Rocky Mount Bowling Center hosted by Chowan University.

Brown, a Davison Mich native, and Haith, a Gurnee, Ill. product, tied for the high-game of the day, with each rolling a 182 on day one.  Freshman 
Christin Cole (Winston-Salem, N.C.) also had a good first day by posting a 141.25 with her high-game coming with a 162. 

As a team, JCSU dropped all three head-to-head matches, registering a 3,321 pin count with an average of 332.1.

The Golden Bulls will continue play in day two of the event on Saturday, Feb. 6 beginning at 12:30 p.m.
