Golden Bulls Softball Hosts Livingstone on Wednesday

Charlotte, N.C. (March 22, 2016) – The Johnson C. Smith University softball team will return to the friendly confines of Biddleville Park on Wednesday, March 23 for a CIAA Southern Division doubleheader against rival Livingstone. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
The Golden Bulls (4-10, 3-3 CIAA) are coming off back-to-back blowout wins over Lincoln and Elizabeth City State at the CIAA Roundup this past weekend.
Against the Lions, JCSU erupted for nine runs in the first inning and never looked back, taking the 16-0 win. Junior
Morgan Hasty (Salem, Ind.) had three RBI and finished 1-for-2 in the win with a double while
Jocelyn Hernandez (Bloomington, Ca.) had two RBI on a 2-for-3 outing, also with a double.
Both
Breanna Archibald and Hasty finished 3-for-4 in JCSU's 12-4 win against Elizabeth City State. Archibald had an RBI and a double while Hasty finished with three RBI with a double and a homerun against the Vikings, her first of the season.
Livingstone enters the doubleheader at 3-9 overall and 1-5 in CIAA play. In the Blue Bears' last outing, they downed Lincoln 17-7.
