JCSU Softball Set to Host CIAA Roundup
Charlotte, N.C. (March 15, 2017)— The Johnson C. Smith University softball team will return to the diamond this upcoming weekend as they serve as host of the CIAA Softball Roundup.
A full day of play starts on Friday, March 17 at Nevin Community Park at 1:00 p.m. The Golden Bulls (4-8) will take on the Virginia Union (0-2) in the first game at 1:00 p.m. and will then battle Chowan at 5:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the Golden Bulls will tangle with Lincoln at 1:00 p.m. followed by a 3:00 p.m. game with Bowie State.
JCSU will then close the event on Sunday with a matchup with Virginia State at noon and a 2:00 p.m. tilt with Elizabeth City State.
Admission to the three-day event is free and fans are asked to bring their own chairs, as seating is extremely limited.
