Golden Bulls Track and Field to Host JCSU Invitational April 7-8

Charlotte, N.C. (April 6, 2017) – Nearly 900 athletes from 23 different schools and numerous track and field clubs will converge onto the Irwin Belk Complex this weekend to take part in the 2017 JCSU Invitational.

Competition kicks off Friday, April 8 at 3:00 p.m. with the hammer throw and javelin.

On Saturday, a full slate of events starts at 9:00 a.m. with the continuation of field events starting with the discus at 9:00 a.m., followed by the shot put, long jump, high jump and triple jump.  All events are on a rolling schedule.

Also starting at 9:00 a.m. Saturday are the track events.  The 3000m steeplechase kicks things off followed by the 4x100 relay, both 100 and 110 hurdle preliminaries followed by the 100m prelims and the 800m run.

Following a short break, the meet program finishes in the afternoon with event finals.
