Box Score 2 JCSU Softball Drops Falls in Twinbill at Anderson
Anderson, S.C. (Feb. 16, 2018) – The Johnson C. Smith University softball team dropped both ends of a rare night twinbill at Anderson, falling in the first game 8-0 and 14-0 in game two.
In game one, Anderson scored two runs in both the second and third innings to take the 4-0 lead. The pair scored in the third came off a two-run homer from Anderson.
The Trojans were able to add four runs in the fifth inning to end the game, 8-0.
JCSU had five different players record a hit in game one, with seniorÂ
Tia Greene (Huntersville, N.C.) hitting a double in the fourth inning.
Freshman
Daijaa Williams (Miami, Fla.) took the pitching loss for the Golden Bulls, falling to 0-2 on the season.
In game two, JCSU was limited to just one hit, as Anderson pitcher Randee Bettis stifled the JCSU bats. She took the win, improving to 2-1 on the season while striking out four.

Tia Mahoney (Hartwell, Ga.) managed the Golden Bulls' lone hit in the second game.
Freshman pitcher
Tatyana Mars (Fayetteville, N.C.), making her first career start, was roughed up by the Trojans, as she allowed seven hits and seven runs while walking a batter in two innings work. Sophomore
Tasia Bolling (Leland, N.C.) pitched two innings of relief, giving up seven runs on seven hits.
The losses drop the Golden Bulls to 0-4 on the season while Anderson improves to 9-3 on the year.
The Golden Bulls will next be in action on March 10, hosting Rochester College in a doubleheader at Biddleville Park. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
