NEW ORLEANS - The 2021-22 NCAA Division II Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic individual and team honors were recently announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with five student-athletes and four programs (three schools total) from Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) being represented in this year's selections.
The men's and women's program at Johnson C. Smith University were both recognized with All-Academic team awards, while five Golden Bulls (most in the conference) received all-academic honors. Zephaniah Cox Jr.,
Stephan Dill,
Kymali Hay,
Justin Steele, and
Warren Williams each received All-Academic recognition.
Johnson C. Smith led all men's programs in the conference with a 3.0 g.p.a.
Over 800 student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors during the 2021-22 track & field seasons. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic award, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have reached a provisional or automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
