Golden Bulls Softball set to compete in CIAA Roundup

CHARLOTTE – The Johnson C. Smith University women's softball team will have an opportunity to see CIAA opponents on the field for the first time when the Golden Bulls begin conference play this weekend as JCSU will compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) round-up Thursday, Mar. 23 through Saturday, Mar. 27

The three-day event is hosted by Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, N.C. at the South Park Sports Complex located at 110 Capital Trace, Elizabeth City, N.C.

The Golden Bulls will face Shaw at 11 a.m. on Thursday, followed by a contest with host Elizabeth City State at 4 p.m. On Friday, JCSU will take on Bowie State at 10:00 a.m., and then Virginia State at 12:30 p.m.

The final day of the round-up JCSU will battle Lincoln (Pa.) at 9 a.m. and Virginia Union at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.

JCSU enters the CIAA Round-Up with a 1-6 overall record and 0-2 on the year at neutral sites.
