Softball falls to Claflin, 2-1 and 5-1

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHARLOTTE –The Golden Bulls softball team dropped two divisional contests in a Central Intercollegiate Athletics Association (CIAA) doubleheader against Claflin University, 2-1 and 5-1, on Saturday afternoon. 

The Panthers got on the scoreboard first, lead 2-0 in the first inning. JCSU got an RBI single from Taylor Bullard, scoring Jasmine Hogan in the top of the seventh.
Hogan pitched six innings as she faced 26 batters to strike out one and walked three.

In game two, Claflin scored four runs in the third inning. The Golden Bulls got an RBI from Bullard to score in Hogan. The Golden Bulls tallied three hits and left six stranded.

The Golden Bulls will host another NAIA school for a non-conference doubleheader against Morris College on Tuesday, Apr. 9 at 1 p.m.
