CHARLOTTE -  Johnson C. Smith University will officially begin its season on Friday, Feb. 13, facing Savannah State in a doubleheader scheduled for 1p.m. and 3 p.m. 

The weekend marks the second season for head coach Chris McKenzie. McKenzie squad returns four and adds six newcomers to the roster.

The game will take place in Biddleville Park in Charlotte.
