CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University women's softball team will have an opportunity to see CIAA opponents on the field for the first time when the Golden Bulls begin conference play this weekend as JCSU will compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) round-up Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28.

The three-day event is hosted by Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C. at the Walnut Creek Sports Complex.

The Golden Bulls will face Lincoln (Pa.) at 11 a.m. on Thursday, followed by a contest with Virginia Union at 6 p.m. On Friday, JCSU will take on Elizabeth City State at 1:00 p.m., and then Virginia State at 3:30 p.m.

The final day of the round-up JCSU will battle Bowie State at 11:00 a.m. and Bluefield State at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

JCSU enters the CIAA Round-Up with a 5-19 overall record and 0-2 on the year at neutral sites.
