Carol Lawrence is the Head Track and Field Coach for Men and Women at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC, where she oversees the sprints, hurdles, relays. In her two years at JCSU, she has coached 14 different athletes to earning All-Conference honors, four CIAA Conference Champions, four NCAA D2 qualifiers, two school records and a second place finish in the Men's 4x100m at the Penn Relays.

Prior to coming to JCSU, Coach Lawrence was the head Girls Track and Field Coach at Providence Day School where she oversaw the sprints/hurdles/jumps for both the guys and girls. During her tenure at PDS, she coached Anna Cockrell to the World U20 Championship win as well as to the semifinal of the 400m hurdles at the US Olympic Trials as a high school athlete. She has coached over 30 different NCISAA State Champions. Her team at PDS won nine straight State Championships with her athletes consistently ranked in the top 5 in hurdles in the North Carolina.

Carol Lawrence is an IAAF Level 5/USATF Level 3 certified in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays, USA Weightlifting Level 1, and USTFCCCA Strength and Conditioning Coach. She was a three time NCAA Division IIÂ All American while an athlete at New York Institute of Technology, where she earned her degree in Computer Information Systems.Â
