JCSU collected 24 digs as a team in the 3-0 loss to Fayetteville St. Tuesday evening
Fayetteville, NC - The Johnson C. Smith University volleyball team was blanked 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-12) by Fayetteville State University Tuesday evening inside Capel Arena. JCSU falls to 3-23 overall and 2-11 in the CIAA, while FSU improves to 16-7 overall and 12-1 in the conference.
Unfortunately, these two teams are on opposite extremes. J.C. Smith is currently on an 11-match losing streak and Fayetteville St. has won 10 straight.
JCSU was outmatched by Fayetteville State from the beginning, allowing the Lady Broncos to tally a 44-5 kill advantage in three sets. The match lasted an hour and ten minutes.

Mauranda Elliott (Tabor City, NC) and freshman outside hitter
Tahlia Jolicoeur (Marietta, GA) led the Lady Golden Bulls with two kills and four digs apiece. Sophomore setter
Alexis Webb (Durham, NC) served up three assists with five digs in the loss.
Chekimbrell Jefferson and Samantha Meeks each had nine kills and Cailee Huffman added a game-high six digs. Junior setter Achari Mainor tallied 31 assists and as FSU registered 44 kills.
The Lady Golden Bulls will return to the court on Thursday, October 29th against Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. Match play is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm on the Livingstone's campus.
