Second consecutive loss

Raleigh, NC - The Johnson C. Smith University volleyball team fell in three games to Saint Augustine's College 3-0 (25-21, 25-6, 25-14) on Thursday evening in a CIAA Western Division volleyball matchup at Emery Gymnasium. The Lady Golden Bulls drop to 2-11 overall, 2-5 in the CIAA and 0-1 in the Western Division. SAC improves to 7-10 overall, 7-2 in the CIAA, and 1-1 in the Western Division.

Sophomore middle hitter Jasmine Parker (Durham, NC) had a team-high four kills with a .333 hitting percentage and one dig. Sophomore setter Alexis Webb (Durham, NC) contributed with eight assists and two digs for JCSU.

Meanwhile, middle hitter Brittany Hicks led the way for St. Augustine's with 11 kills and three blocks, and setter Roxanne Smith added 22 assists for the Lady Falcons.

The Lady Golden Bulls will travel to Sumter, SC to face Morris College on Monday, September 21st starting at 6:00 p.m. This will be a non-conference match.
