Fayetteville, NC – The Johnson C. Smith University women's volleyball team topped Lincoln University (PA) 3-0 and Bowie State University 3-2 on Saturday afternoon at the 2010 CIAA Round-up hosted by Fayetteville State University. JCSU improves to 4-7 overall, 4-5 in the CIAA and wins their third consecutive match; first time the team has won three straight since the 2003 season.
Junior outside hitter
Tahlia Jolicoeur (Marietta, GA) led the attack in the three set victory over Lincoln (25-20, 25-12, 25-18) with eight kills. Junior setter
Alexis Webb (Durham, NC) had a team-high 11 digs on the defensive side and freshman outside hitter
Sabrina Johnson (Columbia, SC) tallied seven kills and two digs.
The Lady Golden Bulls rallied from a 2-0 deficit against Bowie State. JCSU dropped the first set 25-17, and stretched the second set to 28-26. J.C. Smith took the third set 25-11 and the fourth set 25-14 for a fifth and deciding game. BSU came up short 15-7 and Johnson C. Smith won their second match-up of the day.

Kayla Bazemore (Fayetteville, NC) dished out 12 assists with five kills and three digs. Junior outside hitter
Jennifer Williams (Mitchellville, MD) recorded eight kills and four digs.
