Raleigh, NC – The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team are dealt an 83-71 divisional loss by St. Augustine's College on Saturday afternoon inside Emery Gymnasium. JCSU moves to 13-8 overall, 9-4 in the CIAA, and 2-4 in the Southern; while the Falcons improve to 8-14 overall, 6-7 conference, and 2-4 in the division.

JCSU shot 42% (13-31) from the field compared to 35.7% (10-28) shooting from the Falcons. St. Augustine's out-rebounded J.C. Smith 23-15. Parks had 12 points at the break.
In the second half, St. Augustine's was able to move ahead (48-46) off a three from Nick Chamblee at the 13:21 mark. The Golden Bulls shot just 34.5% (10-29) in the second half and trailed for the remaining 13 minutes of the contest. The Falcons won the second half by a score of 52-34.

Johnson C. Smith returns to divisional action at home against Shaw University on Monday, February 14th. JCSU will be looking to rebound from this loss and the earlier season loss to Shaw (86-77) in Spaulding Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside Brayboy Gymnasium.
