Trevin Parks presented with the CIAA Player of the Year award from the Executive Committee Members at the 2010-11 Regular Season Awards held at the Charlotte Convention Center

Trevin Parks received the CIAA Player of the Year award from the Executive Committee Members at the 2010-11 Regular Season Awards held at the Charlotte Convention Center on Tuesday, March 1st. Parks was also one of five guards selected to the All-CIAA backcourt.
Parks dominated the CIAA during the regular season in scoring; leading the pack with 471 total points. He is ranked 1st in the CIAA and 9th in the NCAA DII ranking for scoring, averaging 22.4 points per game. He has been named CIAA Newcomer of the Week twice and conference Player of the Week twice. Parks is averaging 4.6 assists per game and has three 30+ scoring nights, including a career-high 36 points.
Parks joined the Golden Bulls this season after spending one year at nearby UNC-Charlotte. He saw limited as a freshman; only playing in 10 games and scoring a total 16 points. He was the NCBCA District 10 Player of the Year his senior season at Hickory High. He averaged 24 and five assists per game.
The newly crowned player of the year will make his debut in the CIAA Men's Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, March 2nd. The Golden Bulls will face Chowan University at 7:00 p.m. inside the Time Warner Cable Arena.
