Leford Green ran his fastest time of the season at the 2011 Penn Relays of 50 seconds flat in the 400m Hurdles

Leford Green won the College Men's 400 Meter Hurdles Championship at the 2011 Penn Relays on Friday morning on Franklin Field at the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
Green had the best time out of seven sections and 60 runners with a time of 50.00. Green is no stranger to the track at Franklin Field, he ran there in high school for Kingston College. He also finished second in this event last year.
"It was windy condition but I just executed my race plan,” said Green. "It was my best time for the season (50.00). I can't complain. I was happy with it. I would have liked a 49 but its 9 o'clock in the morning. I'll take it.”
The 4x100 men's team of sophomore
Gabriel Franklin (Casselberry, FL), Green, sophomore
Winston Brown (St. Andrew, Jamaica), and sophomore
Akino Ming (Portland, Jamaica) finished second in heat one behind the team from Texas A&M (40.06) with a time of 41.50. With nine other heats and 83 total teams, JCSU ranked 20th overall with their time.
This same squad with Green running the anchor leg won the third heat (3:07.44) of the men's 4x400. The team had the third fastest time, behind Texas A&M (2nd place - 3:07.29), and LSU (1st place – 3:07.22).
Sophomore
Rolston Gabriel had a time of 14.59 in men's 100m hurdles for 20th overall.
Senior
Shermaine Williams (St. Catherine, Jamaica) ranked 13th with her time of 13.82 in the women's 100m hurdles. Williams was sixth in the first heat of three.
