In the opening half, Wallace became the leader for most passing yards in a single-season. The record now stands at 2,280 yards. Anderson rushed for 137 yards in the first half to become the first 1,000 rusher in a season at JCSU since Tyrone Corlew in 1991.
In the second half, the Golden Bulls continued to control the contest. JCSU scored 23 points in the third quarter, but respectfully ended their scoring pace in the fourth.
Anderson finished with a new single-game career-high of 200 yards rushing off 19 attempts and three touchdowns. He was named Commemorative Classic Most Valuable Player. Anderson finishes with 1,063 rushing yards for the season. He is third in school history for most rushing yards in a season; the record is 1,176 held by Ernest Williams.
Wallace finished the game with 223 yards, completing 14-of-17 pass attempts and two touchdowns. He concludes the year passing for 2,280 yards and 22 touchdowns. The JCSU record for most passing TD is 25. The Golden Bulls also missed setting a new record for most points scored in a single season by just four. JCSU produced 313 points this year and the record set in 1970 is 316 points.
JCSU achieved their second winning season for the first time since 1972-73. They also won four consecutive games for the first time since 1996. Doubtful, but the Golden Bulls still have a slim chance of receiving a berth to this year's Pioneer Bowl. JCSU will end the regular season in second place out of the CIAA Southern Division.
