Golden Bull Comeback Falls Short vs. California (Pa.)

Box Score Indiana, Pa. (Nov. 14, 2014)--  The Johnson C. Smith men's basketball team battled back from a 20-point deficit, but could no closer than five, ultimately losing their season opener to California (Pa.), 87-81 at the Memorial Field House.

Senior Emilio Parks (Ashtabula, OH) had a game-high 25 points on a 12-for-17 shooting effort.  Parks also pulled down eight rebounds.  Two other Golden Bulls scored in double-figures as Diondre Pratt (Morven, N.C.) added 13 points and Stedmon Lemon (Lithonia, Ga.) came off the bench to contribute 10 points on the evening.  Alandre Davis (Florence, S.C.) led JCSU by pulling down nine rebounds.

As a team, JCSU shot 43% from the field (32-74), including 22% from long-range (5-23) in the defeat.  

The Golden Bulls will take on host Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
