JCSU women's bowling will host the 2014 CIAA Roundup at the AMF Centennial Lanes on February 7-9
Charlotte, NC – The Johnson C. Smith University women's bowling team will return to action this weekend (February 7-9) as it hosts a CIAA Bowling Roundup at AMF Centennial Lanes. The Golden Bulls will participate in 15 matches during the tournament; which begins on Friday afternoon and last until Sunday.
Johnson C. Smith will be one of twelve CIAA member institutions taking part in this weekend's tournament. All six teams from both the Northern and Southern Divisions will be involved in the event. The first two days of competition will be team match play while Sunday involves Baker matches. The matches begin at approximately 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 9:55 a.m. on Sunday. Each match will take place in one-hour increments.
The Golden Bulls will play five matches each day against Bowie State, Chowan, Elizabeth City State, Virginia State, and Virginia Union. JCSU enters the event with a 7-21 overall and conference record.
This is the first time this season JCSU has bowled against the Northern Division competition.
The AMF Centennial Bowling Lanes is located at 4501 South Boulevard in Charlotte.
