HERECharlotte, NC - The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball program will host their annual basketball camps to include the 24th annual All-Star Basketball Camp on the campus primary inside Brayboy Gymnasium. There will be two different camps with one session from June 11th-13th and a session from July 20th-24th.
The Golden Bulls will hold a Skills Camp from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for children ages 7-16. The only available session will be June 11-13.
The annual All-Star Camp will be held July 20-24 within a 24-hour cycle for children ages 8-17.
The JCSU Basketball Camps are posed to be a fun-filled, intense learning experience for all. Each day will begin with the entire camp meeting and warming up together. Individual and small group instruction will be held daily in addition to guest speakers, team play, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 competition.
Head men's basketball coach
Stephen Joyner, Sr. will serve as the Camp Director. Joyner just completed his 27th season as the head coach of the JCSU Golden Bulls. Throughout his tenure as coach, Joyner has compiled a 483-294 overall record, making him JCSU's all-time leader in coaching wins.
Assistant men's basketball coaches
Mark Sherrill and Wiyle Petty will also be actively involved as Camp Instructors. The Golden Bull basketball camps have enjoyed tremendous growth in recent years. Every year players from the NBA participate in the All-Star Camp. Come join in on this educational basketball experience.
