Game scheduled for 12 noon on Sept. 6th at Richardson Stadium

Charlotte, NC – The time has come for Johnson C. Smith University football to kick off the 2014 season! This year begins with a Saturday, September 6th matchup against the University of North Carolina at Charlotte at Jerry Richardson Stadium. The general public will be available for presale game tickets for this season opener online only at https://commerce.cashnet.com/jcsutickets?CNAME=JCSU+VS+UNCC.

Single game tickets are available for $30. Tailgating will also be available to visiting patrons at a cost of $20. The UNCC tailgating experience provides a covered tent space, food and beverages, reserved seating, games for kids, live music with a dance area, security, and restroom facilities. Tickets are available for credit card purchases at the JCSU Online Ticket Office at www.goldenbullsports.com. Once physical tickets are available, fans may visit the JCSU Athletic Ticket Office or call 704.378.1145 for inquiries. JCSU Athletic Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

JCSU will host five home games this season; three games at the Irwin Belk Complex and two games at Memorial Stadium. The home opener will be on Saturday, September 13th against Kentucky State University for the Eddie C. McGirt Classic. This contest will be followed a couple weeks later by opening CIAA competition against Virginia Union University (Sept. 27th) for JCSU Public Servant Appreciation Day. Both games are scheduled to kickoff at 2:00 p.m. from the Irwin Belk Complex.
