JCSU Volleyball Splits Matches in Day One Of the CIAA Roundup

Box Score 2 The Johnson C. Smith volleyball team split its first two matches in the CIAA Southern Division Roundup, Saturday, September 27 at Brayboy Gymnasium
Led by Salesse Stovall and Jasmin Jackson, the Golden Bulls defeated Elizabeth City State, 25-20, 25-18 and 25-23, in their first match.  Stovall had 11 kills and two blocks while Jackson tallied seven digs in the match.
In the nightcap of the six match schedule on Saturday, JCSU lost to Chowan University, 25-18, 21-25, 25-27 and 17-25.
Kathleen Janda had 13 kills, two service aces and two blocks while Mercedes Jones recorded seven digs.
JCSU returns to the court Sunday afternoon to face Virginia State in the final match of the roundup. First serve is set for 2:00pm.
