JCSU enters the game at 1-5, 0-3 in CIAA action.  The Golden Bulls are led by senior linebacker Austin Jacques (Springdale, Md.).  Jacques was recently named the CIAA Linebacker of the Week for the third consecutive week following an 18 tackle performance at Winston-Salem State.  Against the Rams, Jacques accounted for 11 solo tackles, one sack and three tackles for loss.  He also registered his first interception of the season in the third quarter.

Offensively, JCSU is led by quarterback Jordan Lane (Charlotte, N.C.).  Lane threw for 251 yards on 16-of-31 passing.  He connected with receiver Fred Scott (Stone Mountain, Ga.) on the first JCSU play from scrimmage for a season-long 63 yard touchdown strike to put JCSU up 7-0.  Scott finished the day with eight catches for 145 yards.

Fayetteville State (3-3, 3-0 CIAA) enters on a three-game winning streak following a 36-29 home win over Shaw.  Against the Bears, Bronco quarterback Derek Bryant completed 29-of-45 pass attempts for 262 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions. For his performance against Shaw, Bryant was tabbed the CIAA Quarterback of the Week for the second time this season.  FSU running back Andre Montgomery had 85 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown while receiver Chris Hubert added 73 yards on 10 catches and a score.
