			 Charlotte, N.C. (Nov. 18, 2015) –  The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team looks to give head coach 
Stephen Joyner, Sr. his 499
th career win this evening when it travels to Jefferson City, Tenn. to take on Carson-Newman. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Holt Fieldhouse.
In their last outing, the Golden Bulls (1-1) took a 66-59 win at Tuskegee on Saturday, Nov. 14.  In that game, JCSU senior forward 
Alandre Davis (Florence, S.C.) led four JCSU players in double-figures with 16 points.  He went 7-of-12 from the field pulled down nine rebounds in the win over the Golden Tigers.  Fellow senior 
Stedmon Lemon (Lithonia, Ga.) had 15 points and eight rebounds while sophomore guard 
Robert Davis, III (West Friendship, Md.) had 12, including a perfect 6-of-6 effort from the foul line.  
Diondre Pratt (Morven, N.C.) chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds for the Golden Bulls.
Carson-Newman (1-1) enters the game off a 72-65 home loss Lander, where guard Charles Clark knocked down 20 points.  Teammates Carson Brooks and Sawyer Williams had 14 and 10 points, respectively.
Following the contest against the Eagles, JCSU will open the home portion of the schedule on Friday, Nov. 20 by hosting the JCSU Tip-Off Classic.  The first game of the afternoon, beginning at 5:30 p.m., will feature two-time defending CIAA champion Livingstone and Benedict College.  JCSU will take to the floor immediately following, battling the Apprentice School at 7:30 p.m.
