Box Score Indiana, Pa. (Nov. 29, 2015) – The Johnson C. Smith women's basketball team could not overcome a poor shooting performance and fell to host Indiana (Pa.) 64-43  at the IUP-Lodestar Classic in Indiana, Pa. on Sunday afternoon.

JCSU managed only a 29.8% (17-of-57) shooting effort in the game and never lead against the home standing Crimson Hawks.  The Golden Bulls got an 11-point, eight-rebound effort from senior center Ashley Porter (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and a nine point effort from fellow senior Amena Brent (Chicago, Ill.).  Guards Asha Jordan (Monroe, N.C.) and Krista White (Dayton, Ohio) each finished with six points for JCSU.

Indiana's Leslie Stapleton and Marina Wareham scored 17 and 16 points, respectively in the win.  Wareham knocked down four three-pointers while Stapleton cashed in three from long range.  The Crimson Hawks' Brittany Robinson controlled the boards, finishing with 12 rebounds and four points.

The loss drops JCSU to 3-3 on the year while Indiana (Pa.) improves to 5-2.

The Golden Bulls will take on local rival Queens in their next game on Dec. 1.  Tip-off will be at 6:00 p.m. at the Levine Center and is part of a doubleheader with the JCSU men's team.
