JCSU's Joshua Linson Earns CIAA Player of the Week Honors

Charlotte, N.C. (Feb. 25, 2015) –  Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball player Joshua Linson (San Antonio, Tex.) has been named the CIAA Player of the Week for games ending on Feb. 21.

Linson had a breakout performance at Winston-Salem State on Feb. 18, going 8-11 from three point range.  He finished 9-12 from the field, scoring 26 points.  He also tallied three assists and a steal against the Rams.

Linson helped JCSU end the regular season with a 68-64 win at Shaw.  Against the Bears, he scored 21 points on 7-9 shooting, including a 6-8 mark from long range.

Linson and the rest of the Golden Bulls will start CIAA Tournament play on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at approximately 8:50 p.m. against Shaw at Time Warner Cable Arena.
