JCSU Women's Tennis Falls To Catawba, 9-0
Charlotte, N.C. (Sept. 19, 2015) – The Johnson C. Smith women's tennis team opened the 2015-16 season with a 9-0 home non-conference loss to Catawba.
The Golden Bulls were only able to win two games in singles competition on the afternoon and one game in the doubles competition.  JCSU's
Michaela Colvin (Fayetteville, N.C.) fell in her match at No. 3 singles to Kristen Rocco by a 6-0, 6-1 count while teammate
Alex Barber (Laurel, Md.) fell by a 6-1, 6-0 count.
In doubles competition, JCSU's Colving and Barber fell 8-1 at No. 2
The Golden Bulls (0-1) will travel to Belmont Abbey on Saturday, Sept. 26 for an 11:00 a.m. match.
