Women's Tennis Drops 9-0 Match to Queens to Open Spring Season

JCSU Women's Tennis Falls to Queens

Charlotte, N.C. (Jan. 31, 2015) – The Johnson C. Smith University women's tennis team opened their 2016 spring seasons on Saturday afternoon, falling to Queens 9-0.

In the women's match, JCSU's Khadijah Battle (Atlanta, Ga.) managed to take two games from Queens Marta Gonzalez, but fell 6-2, 6-0.  Queens would then sweep the rest of the singles matches, each by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Doubles matches saw the JCSU team of Battle and Jasmine Riddick (Atlanta, Ga.) fall by an 8-2 count at No. 2 to Melissa Laing and Ana Bolson.
