Box Score WSSU Takes 3-0 Volleyball Win over JCSU

Winston-Salem, N.C. (Oct. 10, 2016)
 – The Winston-Salem State Rams hit for a .479 percentage while knocking down 40 kills to down the Johnson C. Smith University volleyball team 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-10) in a CIAA Southern Division match at Whitaker Gym on Monday evening.

The Golden Bulls (3-12, 2-8 CIAA, 0-4 Southern Division) got four kills each from junior Makayla Adams (Michigan City, Ind.) and sophomore Anteesha Smoots (San Antonio, Tex.).  Junior Azha McNeil (Fayetteville, N.C.) led the Golden Bulls with 11 assists while Georgina Diaz (Lincolnton, N.C.) and Raven Bandy (Douglasville, Ga.) each had four digs in the match.

For the Rams (12-6, 8-2 CIAA, 2-2 Southern Division),  Mia Herrod had 13 kills while Teynia Shepherd had 10. Teammate Mya Snow had 33 assists and Mikayla Chambers had nine digs.

The Golden Bulls will next take to the court on Thursday evening when they travel to Fayetteville  State to take on the Broncos.
