Box Score JCSU Volleyball Falls to WSSU, 3-0
Charlotte, N.C. (Nov.7, 2016) – The Johnson C. Smith University volleyball team managed only a .116 hitting percentage and allowed visiting Winston-Salem State to hit for .538 as the visiting Rams took a 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-13) CIAA Southern Division win on Monday evening in Brayboy Gym.
WSSU quickly took control in the first set and pounded out 14 kills to take the 25-10 win. The second set was more of the same as the Rams took the 25-9 win after hitting for a match-best .632 percentage. WSSU never faltered in the third set as they never trailed on their way to the 25-13 in set three.
JCSU (4-16, 2-12 CIAA, 0-8 Southern Division) got three kills each fromÂ

WSSU improves to 17-12 overall, 12-3 in CIAA play and 6-3 in Southern Division. They were led by Jocelyn Mills and Syndey Holland, as they registered 13 and 11 kills, respectively.
The Golden Bulls will conclude the home portion of their season with a 6:00 p.m. match against Fayetteville State on Thursday, Nov. 10.
