JCSU was led by reigning CIAA Rookie of the Week
A'Diyah Ussery (Shelby, N.C.), as she had a game-high 20 points on a 7-of-14 shooting effort. Sophomore guard
Asha Jordan (Monroe, N.C.) finished the day with 15 points, including a 7-of-11 mark from the free throw line. Rounding out the JCSU double-digit scoring was

Larryqua Hall (Atlanta, Ga.) had a productive outing, just missing a double-double, as she finished with eight points and nine rebounds.
The Golden Bulls (16-10, 9-6 CIAA, 5-4 Southern) wasted no time as they jumped all over the visiting Rams in the first quarter. JCSU got out to a quick 7-0 lead thanks to an Ussery three pointer and baskets by
Amena Brent (Chicago, Ill.) and
Krista White (Dayton, Ohio.) JCSU's lead would balloon to 15 points on a Lynch jumper with 1:58 left. The teams traded baskets over the course of the final two minutes, as JCSU stood on top after the first quarter, 25-10.
In the second quarter, WSSU (11-14, 6-9 CIAA, 4-5 Southern) would slice the JCSU lead to eight points on two occasions, with the latter being with 4:04 remaining after a Awa Kalmstrom jumper made it 34-26. JCSU would then go on a 9-3 run to close the quarter, taking a 43-29 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, JCSU again blitzed the Rams, building the lead to 54-35 after a
Larryqua Hall tip in at the 4:44 mark. WSSU then was able to close to within 12 points (57-45) by the end of the quarter on a Sha'Quira Palmer layup.
The fourth quarter was also dominated by the Golden Bulls, as WSSU trimmed the lead to 11 points (58-47) at the 8:40 mark on another Palmer basket. JCSU would then race out to a 20 point cushion at the 4:21 and were never threatened again, taking the 77-59 home win.
JCSU will return to Brayboy Gym on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. as it closes the regular season with Senior Day and a visit from the Shaw Bears.
