Women's Tennis Falls at Shaw, 7-2

Raleigh, N.C. (Apr.2, 2016) – The Johnson C. Smith University women's tennis team fell to CIAA Southern Division foe Shaw on Saturday afternoon 7-2 at Lions Park in Raleigh, N.C.
The Golden Bulls (5-13, 5-4 CIAA) were able to pick up two points on the afternoon when Shaw forfeited the No 6 singles and No. 3 doubles matches.
The Bears would sweep the remaining matches to take the 7-2 win.
At No. 3 and No. 4 singles, JCSU's
Victoria Ogundipe (Jonesboro, Ga.) and
Michaela Colvin (Fayetteville, N.C.) were able to take two games, but each fell in the matches by 6-1, 6-1 scores.
In doubles, the JCSU pair of
Jasmine Riddick and Khadijah Battle (Atlanta, Ga.) took two games but succumbed by an 8-2 score.
JCSU will next return to the courts on April 10 when they host Livingstone for a 2:00 p.m. match.
