JCSU Women's Tennis Opens 2017 Spring Season With Two Road Losses
Charlotte N.C. (Feb. 12, 2017) – The Johnson C. Smith University women's tennis team opened the 2017 spring season with two road losses this past weekend.

On Saturday, the Golden Bulls traveled to Salisbury to take on Catawba. The Indians managed straight set wins in each of the five contested singles matches. JCSU's Kaylin Roman (Atlanta, Ga.) dropped a 7-5 decision in set one and then 6-1 in the second set as the top JCSU performer.

The Golden Bulls also competed at Wingate on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 9-0 decision to the #46 ranked Bulldogs.

Wingate took matches in straight sets to secure the victory.

JCSU (0-2) will open the 2017 home schedule at the Coleman/Cuthbertson Courts on Wednesday, Feb. 15 with a 1:00 p.m. match with local rival Queens.
