Golden Bulls End Season With Loss to WSSU at CIAA Tennis Championship
Bowie, Md. (April 21, 2017) – The Johnson C. Smith University women's tennis team completed their 2017 season by dropping a 5-1 decision to Winston-Salem State at the CIAA Women's Tennis Championship at the Bowie State University courts on Thursday afternoon.
The Golden Bulls lone point came when the doubles tandem of
Michaela Colvin (Fayetteville, N.C.) and
Alisa Stevenson (Fayetteville, N.C.) won their match at No. 3 by an 8-2 score.
WSSU would win the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches as well as the three of the singles matches to advance to the semifinals.
With the loss, JCSU completes their season at 6-14 overall.
