JCSU Bowling Competes at CIAA North-South Roundup

Charlotte, N.C. (Feb. 11, 2018) –  The Johnson C. Smith University bowling team competed in the CIAA North-South Roundup over the weekend at the
AMF Pleasant Valley Lanes in Raleigh, N.C.

JCSU fell in all five matches on day one, with the best outing coming when the Golden Bulls scored a
605 pin count against Bowie State. One the day, JCSU registered a pin count of 2,606.

The Golden Bulls also dropped five matches on day two, with the Golden Bulls registering a team pin count of 2,592, with the high game coming against Virginia State.

On day three, JCSU competed in Baker Matches, dropping five matches. The Golden Bulls had a
2,474 pin count on the day, bringing their total three-day tally to 7,672.

Individually, JCSU's Brittany Brown (Durham, N.C.) bowled the high average for a rookie from Southern Division teams, which was 147.3. She had her high-game tally of 222 on day two against Virginia State.
