JCSU Women's Tennis Drops 7-0 Decision to Elon
Greensboro, N.C. (March 22, 2018) – The Johnson C. Smith University women's tennis team traveled to Greensboro, N.C. to take on Division I Elon at the Simkins Indoor Tennis Center.
The Phoenix were able to sweep past the Golden Bulls, only dropping one game in the singles competition. JCSU's
Halle Parker (Magnolia, Del.) took the only game for JCSU, falling to her opponent at the No. 1 singles by a 6-1, 6-0 score. In the remaining singles matches, Elon won in straight sets, all by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Jada Strickland (Miamisburg, Ohio) took two games, falling 6-2 at No.1. Elon then took the No. 2 and No. 3 matches by 6-0 scores to take the doubles point.
The loss drops the Golden Bulls to 6-7 on the season while Elon improves to 9-9.
The Golden Bulls will take the short drive to Fayetteville later in the day to take on the Broncos of Fayetteville State in a CIAA match.
