Teana Lewis, DeJane James and
Maiya Green all scored in double figures to lead the Johnson C. Smith women's basketball to a convincing 78-63 victory over the Lady Panthers of Clark Atlanta University.
Lewis led all scorers with 17 points. Â James followed with 15 points while Green closed out the evening with 12 points. Â
Denajah Porter was short of a double-double with 10 rebounds to go with her six points.
JCSU jumped out to a 21-13 lead at the end of the first period and took a 46-39 lead into the locker room at the half. Â The Golden Bulls extended their lead to 62-46 after three periods cruising to their final margin of victory.
JCSU improves to 4-7 on the season while CAU falls to 2-12.
The Golden Bulls return to action when they travel to Bowie, Md this weekend to take on the Bulldogs of Bowie State University. Â Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. for the women and 4:00 p.m. for the men.
