JCSU SET TO HOST SHAW ON HOMECOMING & SENIOR DAY

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Johnson C. Smith University will host Shaw University for its 2019 homecoming game in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division tilt on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Irwin Belk Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

In addition, Saturday's contest also marks senior day, as the Golden Bulls will recognize eight outstanding student-athletes prior to kickoff.

The Golden Bulls (2-5, 1-3 CIAA) will look to bounce back from a heart breaking loss to Fayetteville State, as they welcome Shaw (3-4, 2-2 CIAA) into Charlotte. The Bears are coming off a 27-20 win against Livingstone last weekend.

Emanuel Wilson is eight yards from away from becoming a 1,000 yard rusher for the Golden Bulls.

This will be the 60th meeting between Shaw and Johnson C. Smith. JCSU leads the all-time series over the Bears 32-25-2 overall but Shaw won the last meeting with a 42-9 win in Durham, N.C. last season.
